Giving Wooden Comb as a Gift (One for Jessi)

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

feng shui gift I put together this video for Jessi who’s been my helping hand throughout my trip. She’s my remote hands back in Edmonton and takes care of the stuff I could not get rid of when I was leaving to travel around the world.

I bought Jessi a very special gift – a comb made of Jade Sandalwood. The significance of wooden comb as well as the material it’s made of is all explained in the video. This video IS dedicated to Jessi.

BTW – I’m not a grammar expert so I use the “made of” rule instead of “made from” when referring to Sandalwood. I’ve made a reference on the internet and 98% of references use the “made of” rule. This does not necessarily mean that it’s correct, but if incorrect, please do forgive me and focus on something else. I’m not a grammar nazi.

Video features footage recorded by me at Thaipusam festival in Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew, also known as Wat Lan Kuad or “the Temple of a Million Bottles”, in Khun Han, Sisaket province near the Cambodian border in Thailand.

Audio tracks include a song Serpent (Earth) by Shanghai Traditional Chinese Orchestra – Chinese Feng Shui Music and Buddhist Meditation Music, Zen Garden song titled Daylight by Kokin Gumi.

Ancient Chinese paintings and photos of Sandalwood were collected from various sources on the internet and are are believed to be in public domain. Images and audio tracks included in the video are believed to be posted within my rights according to the title 17, U.S. Code aka U.S. Copyright Fair Use Act.
